Phosphenes

Failing warmth of inner light
We can't ignite
Save me from drowning in the night

Crashing rocks fall into the sea
This tide takes its toll on my being
Lead clogged in these veins
Betrayed myself for others gain
Their gain

You let my strength completely sweep away
Self respect I had was all turned to shame
Any remnants of my life has since decayed

Staring into the reflection
Phosphenes
How can I forgive myself for allowing this pain?
Former image of my being
Fear had completely enveloped all of me
It can change who we are

Have faith
Broken bones fuse
Wounds heal
Invigorate

Failing stepping stones guide yourself
To a fortified new world
A plethora of warm light (I was sinking faster and faster)
Towards the sea of life (Hope almost lost)
Towards the sea of life (But I found the strength in me)

New reign
My throne
