Power to Heal

For several years and counting
A pupil and a lead
I've dedicated years on earth
To helping those in need

The nights are long and I am sleepless
My body sore and weak
The hours are relentless
Adrenaline has peaked

The fear – will to free
To kill – by decree
To harm – life remains
The power to heal runs through my veins

Assume – stars align
The pain – peace of mind
The blame – earn the praise
A battle lost, a life decays

Light is bright and
Focused on the task at hand
I feel the mighty power of gods
Night is harsh but revives
The night is long and full of terrors
The evil resigns against all odds

I shall retain the noblesse
Through losses and the wins
I must declare and I must share
With those whose stare begins

The story told, the tears abundant
In sadness or relief
As I remain triumphant
Or with a sense of grief

Beings are warned, bliss is born, none to mourn

Life and death
In the ring to brawl and dance
Which will endure, which will outlast

Last or first
To accept the reaper
To follow to everlasting home

Home and time
With or from the clan
To roll the dice and beg for more

More or less
Based upon the health
Of the vessel on earth

Light is bright and
Focused on the task at hand
